- Mounted directly on the toolhead, the EBB42 Gen 2 helps minimize cable clutter, improves signal stability, and boosts reliability—especially on high-speed printers where long wire bundles can create drag, noise, and maintenance issues.
- A primary advantage of a toolhead-mounted CAN bus toolhead board is wiring simplification. Instead of routing separate wires for every toolhead device back to the mainboard, the BTT EBB42 Gen 2 supports key toolhead components locally and communicates over CAN Bus.
- This can make the printer cleaner, easier to service, and more reliable over time because there are fewer moving cables to fatigue or loosen.
