With the supplied thermistor, it is designed to comfortably reach 300°C (as stated), supporting common materials like PLA, PETG, and ABS. For higher-temperature printing up to 500°C, E3D notes you’ll need a plated copper heater block plus a PT100 or PT1000 sensor (as stated), opening the door to engineering materials such as Polycarbonate, Ultem, Nylon, and PEEK (setup dependent).
• Maintenance is also easier thanks to the cartridge-style heater block. Heater cartridges and temperature sensors can be slid into place and secured with a grub screw, making replacement simpler than bead-style thermistors or fixed heaters (as stated).
